'My work is tactile; I work in layers and depth, building upon what is already there to create an image.'
I work in layers; textiles, painted surfaces, collage, are all used to build up a feeling of depth and detail, which is reflected in the themes which are present in my work, – drawing you in and inviting you to touch and look deeper.
My work addresses concepts about changes in self-identity. I grew up surrounded and fascinated by fabric and textiles. There is a vital femininity to my work, drawn from my foundation in female crafts.
