Blue Lace

I picked up some amazing french lace from Tessuti's in Surrey Hills a few weeks ago and I've been itching to play with it. I bought some burnished gold beads to use - i wanted something very bright and vibrant without being neon or childish - it had to be very grown up to go with such beautiful lace.

I've been inspired by beaded lace fascinators and fashion pieces, which can really make an outfit sparkle.

Here is the start of the piece:

I'm really happy with the seed beads, especially the 2 sizes which give it depth. I have some gold pearls to use in the centre of the design.
