about starting another 'big' project. I've got a concept and a plan for the Tassie quilt, I went to Addicted to Fabric (www.a2f.com.au) again (love that shop - they just need a kiddy corner) and bought some white linen for the whole cloth background. I was a little disappointed that they had a massive range of sturdy printed linens, but the only plain neutral linens were floppy and thin. I was looking for something with natural flaws and patterns, obviously not synthetic, that could be a neutral starting point. I ended up with a white linen, which means I'm now busy boiling onion skins and eucalypt leaves for a natural dye! No idea how it's going to turn out, but I'm getting over using chemicals, especially with the little ones in the house. Plus onion skins and leaves are free, instead of $10 plus a packet of dye.
I'll let you know how it goes :)
