Day 2 in Melbourne

We had a huge day yesterday! We spent the day at the AQC and it was brilliant, the quilts are fantastic, I got to meet some old friends and make some new ones. image

We enjoyed all the quilts, and loved seeing all the different interpretations for the challenge this year. The theme was ten and I really loved this entry, the g string is made from size ten dress labels;

And the Living Colour exhibit was just beautiful, you can see all the quilts on Brenda's site www.livingcolourtextiles.com

We noticed that the quality of the quilts and the beautiful way they were arranged together drew people in, it was definitely one of the most popular sections of the show.

Living Colour is on the left in this pic and the challenge quilts are on the right.

We also got to see so many of Jenny Bowker's quilts which was just inspirational,

I also had the chance to meet the team with Bernina Australia! Such lovely supportive people and it was great to have so many people tell me that I'm with the right machine now.

We had a great time at the Gala dinner - thanks Kerrie for inviting us!

We were right at the front so we had a great view of the dancers in tiny sequins and pink feathers!

It's our last day here today, we're heading to the NGV International this morning then hopefully catching a flight home this arvo
